You can't put a price on this happiness

PALMA

July 16th

Quote of the day, "You can't put a price on this happiness!!!!". With every exclamation point holding the excitement of a kid on christmas morning. Honestly, one of the best days yet.

Kace & I both had somewhat rough days with the kidlings (I guess most days are rough with these kidlings but the price is microscopic in comparison to the experiences) and were ready to get out for the day around 430. We headed down to Porto Pi, where we had heard we would find our beloved deep water soiling routes. We really couldn't have lucked out any better with the location of this place, just a quick 20 minute walk and we were in our paradise.

Arriving at the spot brought excitement I can't put into words. Kinda like when you're plunging down the steepest fall of that roller coaster and you just can't scream loud enough because it's stuck in your innards...? Yup, like that.

Deep-sea soloing is when you climb along the cliffs over the water and if needs be, just fall into the water. EXHILIRATION much?? We made a quick friend to meet up with-who made this look like cake- and then couldn't even stick around much longer because we were too anxious to go make our next stop in preparation. You see, we'd both had our climbing shoes packed back in Utah but decided the chance of them getting stolen plus lack of packing weight meant we had to leave em behind. Ohhhhh how we were regretting and missing those puppies at this moment. It didn't take but 2 seconds for us to say, "Heck, lets go buy some" because, "When in Rome..." yet another common phrase these past weeks.
A video of these fellas would be ideal, so I'll work on that this week

We've never walked up that gigantuous hill so fast, hopped on our bikes, and found our way to the, "Decathon" slash Britt and Kace heaven. Folks, this store was nothing less than amazing. It's a sports store but with the perk of everything being outrageously affordable. Affordable as in climbing shoes for 19.95 €, wet suit for 17.95 €, a wake board for stinkin 40€??! No cheap quality either, everything nice and sturdy.

We walked out with a Europe-traveling backpack (matchy, matchy green ones), watches, CLIMBING SHOES and smiles of all smiles.

Riding back home was pure bliss. On a bike through some of the best scenery there is, our climbing/biking month planned out, and a new backy pack to rock.

You can't put a price on this happiness so... when in Rome :)

Hmph the woes of a mother. Or mother figure I guess... these gals can be exhausting! Im definitely learning some tricky tactics to avoid lengthy struggles with the daily routine. Speaking of the daily routine, it's honestly the easiest thing ever (aside from the insanely ourageous fits these girls are capable of on a 10-minute basis haha):

·Morning deal- breakfast, teeth, hair, bedrooms, getting dressed etc.
1 - 1.5 hour homework sesh
To the pool! (Meet Kace & the kids out there for about an hour and a half.
Home for lunch
Siesta! - They're strict about that here, absolutely must watch tv or read a book quietly.
Marta gets home around 215, her & Juanjo eat then siesta, and I'm off to play as soon as she's home :-)

Pretty ideal gig I've got going on, eh?

Hmmm I love em, I love em, I love em. These stinkin cute gals just get me!!

More things I love:

·Every night/morning and even just heading to Mina's to swim, a point is made, "say good morning to Brittnee", "What do you say to your dad?" when he gets back from work
·Martita's personality and animated faces
·Juanjo and Martita's teasing relationship
·The importance of family this family emphasizes
·ALL the kisses! ;)
· The perfect temperature at about 730 each night. Perfect time of day for my dreamy runs
· The star-gazing and cuddly nights in Sa Rapita
