Pics continued

Apologies, sometimes mobile blogging causes lil glitches but here are the rest of the pictures. Hike in Palma followed by an afternoon in Pollenca

The Rain in Spain

The girls' reaction to the oncomming of the rain storm one morning was getting to the point of fear and anxiety so I explained to them how we run through the streets during times like these at home. This rain storm was good and hearty, it dumped for a good couple of minutes. Next thing I knew, they were running to the garage excited as can be and then showed up at my side looking beyond adorable.
<<<<<<

I took them out to the biggest puddle in the street and let them have some fun :-)

July 25th
Kace discovered a wicked perfect app on her iPhone and we took off on our bikes to one of the billion hikes it described on the island. As often as I claim perfection to my beloved Mallorca, This. Was. Perfect. We both just kept saying how gorgeous it was up in the mountains again like we were home but THEN had the added bonus of looking out to the entire ocean on one side and miles of countryside to the other. It was dreamy and so nice to feel at home in the mountains for a couple of hours.

July 29th
Our angel and cutie British hip sister from church, Debbie, let us snag a ride to Pollenca after church to get out of Palma for a bit. Gorge, as usual.Moment of the week-this is in reality impossible to do because just about a bajillion happy moments of the week happen each week..buuuuut- an extra spectac run along the sunsetting beach at Sa Rapita... sometimes, the feeling cannot be explained.
Just lotsa these :) and this ♥

You can't put a price on this happiness

PALMA

July 16th

Quote of the day, "You can't put a price on this happiness!!!!". With every exclamation point holding the excitement of a kid on christmas morning. Honestly, one of the best days yet.

Kace & I both had somewhat rough days with the kidlings (I guess most days are rough with these kidlings but the price is microscopic in comparison to the experiences) and were ready to get out for the day around 430. We headed down to Porto Pi, where we had heard we would find our beloved deep water soiling routes. We really couldn't have lucked out any better with the location of this place, just a quick 20 minute walk and we were in our paradise.

Arriving at the spot brought excitement I can't put into words. Kinda like when you're plunging down the steepest fall of that roller coaster and you just can't scream loud enough because it's stuck in your innards...? Yup, like that.

Deep-sea soloing is when you climb along the cliffs over the water and if needs be, just fall into the water. EXHILIRATION much?? We made a quick friend to meet up with-who made this look like cake- and then couldn't even stick around much longer because we were too anxious to go make our next stop in preparation. You see, we'd both had our climbing shoes packed back in Utah but decided the chance of them getting stolen plus lack of packing weight meant we had to leave em behind. Ohhhhh how we were regretting and missing those puppies at this moment. It didn't take but 2 seconds for us to say, "Heck, lets go buy some" because, "When in Rome..." yet another common phrase these past weeks.
A video of these fellas would be ideal, so I'll work on that this week

We've never walked up that gigantuous hill so fast, hopped on our bikes, and found our way to the, "Decathon" slash Britt and Kace heaven. Folks, this store was nothing less than amazing. It's a sports store but with the perk of everything being outrageously affordable. Affordable as in climbing shoes for 19.95 €, wet suit for 17.95 €, a wake board for stinkin 40€??! No cheap quality either, everything nice and sturdy.

We walked out with a Europe-traveling backpack (matchy, matchy green ones), watches, CLIMBING SHOES and smiles of all smiles.

Riding back home was pure bliss. On a bike through some of the best scenery there is, our climbing/biking month planned out, and a new backy pack to rock.

You can't put a price on this happiness so... when in Rome :)

Climbing- I. Am. Such. An. Amateur.
Buuut that doesn't change the fact that these pro's are tiiiight!

Look up some deep water soloing vids to see how it's really done vs my woosie attempts

Hmph the woes of a mother. Or mother figure I guess... these gals can be exhausting! Im definitely learning some tricky tactics to avoid lengthy struggles with the daily routine. Speaking of the daily routine, it's honestly the easiest thing ever (aside from the insanely ourageous fits these girls are capable of on a 10-minute basis haha):

·Morning deal- breakfast, teeth, hair, bedrooms, getting dressed etc.
1 - 1.5 hour homework sesh
To the pool! (Meet Kace & the kids out there for about an hour and a half.
Home for lunch
Siesta! - They're strict about that here, absolutely must watch tv or read a book quietly.
Marta gets home around 215, her & Juanjo eat then siesta, and I'm off to play as soon as she's home :-)

Pretty ideal gig I've got going on, eh?

July 20th

Hmmm I love em, I love em, I love em. These stinkin cute gals just get me!!

More things I love:

·Every night/morning and even just heading to Mina's to swim, a point is made, "say good morning to Brittnee", "What do you say to your dad?" when he gets back from work
·Martita's personality and animated faces
·Juanjo and Martita's teasing relationship
·The importance of family this family emphasizes
·ALL the kisses! ;)
· The perfect temperature at about 730 each night. Perfect time of day for my dreamy runs
· The star-gazing and cuddly nights in Sa Rapita

Un Beso

July 11th

The city of Valldemosa opened its doors to us today. I felt like I was driving through the countryside of Italy and then walking it's most hidden and best-kept secret streets.

My European models
Ross & Daniel

Our trip to Valldemosa was followed by Soller, a small port city with a tram running through. Our next visit to Soller will be via train and tram.

July 12

Back in Sa Rapitas for the weekend reminds me how I love this re-charging relaxation time for myself. I can wander off to my choice of sea nook or cranny to think. Today my thoughts are gratitude for the hospitality, generosity and love of so many I've met while here. Countless strangers have opened their hearts, homes, sofa beds, hotel pull-outs, mercedes convertables, rental cars, smiles etc these past 3 weeks. These experiences never would take place were it not for such generous hearts.

Friday, the 13th

Just another Friday the 13th in Sa Rapita, Mallorca. The boys, Scottish Ross, and Danish Daniel, Kacey, and Marissa & her family all came for the day.

I took the crew to the rocky beach in hopes of some good snorkling and a few trixters off the diving board...

We ended up back at the pool for calmer water on such a windy day.

Then headed over to Las Colonias for dinner and a walk along the coast.

Story of the night- These girls ADORED our Spanish-speaking Ross (not to be blamed, he's a winner winner). These pictures speak a thousand words, but if only you could hear their endless giggles and see Martita's flirtacious body language. The giddyness continued to the next day, when we heard the 3 girls playing the part and waiting for their boyfriends to meet them, "Like beernee".

Saturday, July 14th

Relaxing day ended with friends and their 3 DARLING children (I haven't met a single youngster I haven't gone oodles over I suppose) coming over for dinner and the celebration of Sa Rapita. Im becoming more accustomed to the late nights and wasn't shocked this time when we started putting jackets and shoes on all these young kids at 1030 to head over to the street party. The carnival was great. I had my Spanish family & gals attached to my hip, our classic American pop plus a few Spanish favs I've come to recognize blasting down the streets, and the most surprisingly fun ride the 2 girls and I went on. We were smiling and laughing hysterically the entire ride! Yet another success of a week here in my tropical island paradise.
- Oy, Gazpacho, how I LOVE this GAZPACHO. It'll without a doubt be in constant supply when I go home. Basically, cold soup and basically delicious.

Tomatos
Cucumber
Garlic
Onion
Green pepper
Salt
Couple slices of bread
Water
And our staple item - olive oil.

Puree it all and you have yourself the simplest bowl of happiness you'll ever find.
